It has been forever since my last post and some may think I had dropped of the edge of the planet. But I am finally getting around to some new posts (of some now oldish pics).

This slideshow is of Dan and Cherie’s Wedding. Their wedding was held on January 30th of this year at Manning Park in Spearwood.

Ethan, Family Portraits

I had a chance to photograph little Ethan who is just over 6 months old. He is a gorgeous little boy and I was very excited to take his pics. Unfortunately he was a bit of a grizzly bum on the day so I organised to go back again a fortnight later. As luck would have it he was turning on the grizzle the second time around! Thats the fun thing about working with bubs, you can never predict how they are going to be Hope you enjoy!

Kings Park Family Portraits, Perth Photographer

This has to be one of THE best locations in Perth. In Kings Park there is a little patch of pine trees that has the most magic light in the late afternoon with the texture of the pines adding a whole new dimension to the photos. This is my cousin Dan with his partner Bec and her daughter Tanisha. It was one of my first family portraits and I was SO nervous but I think I did ok!

When on a trip down south Phil and I visited one of our favourite beaches, Little Beach in Two Peoples Bay, Albany. We’d been waiting for ages for a sunrise that appeared as though it was going to be a fizzer. I had pretty much packed up and was heading to see what Phil had captured. The sun peeked over the horizon and the burst of orang light hit the drizzle that had just begun creating this amazing orange haze. I hope you like it!

Donnah & Daryl – Part II

I’ve known Donnah for a few years now and remember when she first met Daryl. I remember her being nervous at the prospect of moving in with him after a very short time and the responsibilities that came in the form of two boys. But she had made up her mind and she had a plan. There family has now grown and I have never seen a bride so confident and happy on her wedding day, walking into it knowing it was exactly as she wanted and that by marrying Daryl she would be fulfilling her dreams.

Although I wasn’t the official photographer I couldn’t help but take the camera with me to capture all those moments.

Here are the boys waiting for Donnah to arrive.

Little Matty carried this camera everywhere and was the ‘official photographer’. He captured some pretty amazing shots but I just love this perspective of the wedding of his favourite Aunty!

This little man is a miracle in himself but what is even more special is the ability he had to keep his Mum and Dad positive through some pretty tough times.

Phil and I did a couple of sessions with our friends and there are many more pics to follow. I hope you enjoy!

‘Bun’ was the affectionate name given to the unknown ‘bun in the oven’.

Here are some more pics from the Capel motocross.

I love this sequence. The first thing the guy said when he landed was ‘did you get that on film?’

I practically had to lie down on the track to get this shot

This guy landed right at my feet. Was pretty scarey at first but it was ok when I jumped behind the tree!

This guy took one look at the log jump and said “No Way”.

My favourite shot of the day. The guy in the background had wimped out and didn’t want to do the jump. The guy going over the jump got some of the highest air of the day.
